First born son of Alton Testoke, Bokal gave up his rights as heir to the Waldwick Virile to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather and serve as a Royal Knight, leaving his brother Basso as his fathers heir. Bokal spent his youth practicing with sword, lance, and horse, rather than reading books and learning how to be a lord. His dream was always to serve as a knight to the family, something his father never approved of. When he came of age he won the kings tournament and requested to join the ranks of the Royal Knights. Having bested Mathos Crisar and Dyard Graniteworth in the tournament, the king gladly accepted Bokal's proposal and knighted him in front of all that day.
